Small Mammals

Mabel

With us since: May 2024

Mabel was most likely abandoned and was on the run in the wild for at least 5 days before she was able to be captured. She had many ticks around her neck and ears and wounds from ones that had already fallen off. Luckily, she was otherwise okay. She received a wound healing spray to help the wounds from the ticks and everything cleared up well. Mabel will need sometime to warm up to a new person. We believe she has a hard trying to trust people after what happened to her. She still will come up to us and is friendly, but if she doesn’t like something, she will let you know. We hope to find someone who will be patient with her and give her the space and love she needs. Mabel is approx 2 years old.

Rocco

Rocco was found dumped in Lancaster County Park. His teeth were overgrown and was very underweight. He is doing great now and is enjoying time in his foster home. He has lots of bunny friends to hang around with! Rocco is male.

Winston

Winston was found with his buddy Schmidt (since adopted!) along the side of the road. He is a very lovable bunny, who likes being held. He is very sweet and has been enjoying his foster home and bunny friends there. Winston is male.

Cats & Kittens

Luna

With us since: September 2023

Luna is an approx. 4 year old, male cat. Luna came to us with reported bowel issues, but we did not observe any. Since being in our care, Luna has developed urinary issues. He is prone to crystals in his urine so he is now required to be on a special urinary care food for the rest of his life. (We will be sending some food home with him!!!) He is doing so well on his new diet. He is very laid back and sweet! He loves belly rubs and to be pet. We often find him laying in the sun, belly up. He does fine with the other cats but isn't very playful. He just likes to hang out, especially in a window or on one of the perches in the office. He would make a great, quiet companion to keep someone company. Luna is fully vaccinated and neutered.

Bert

With us since: May 2024

Bert came to us with severe eye infections and the start of an upper respiratory infection. He was started on medication and everything cleared up well. Bert’s left eye does have some cosmetic damage. The inner eye lids were connected where they shouldn’t be. When he got neutered, the vet slipped the eye lids to separate them and it has healed well. Bert has really come out of his shell in his time here. He was very reserved, and still can be, but has become playful and more outgoing. He loves to play with the other kittens. He is still pretty laid back and might need sometime to warm up to his new family. Bert has been around dogs and isn’t a huge fan of them but might open up to one with some time. Bert is approx. 8 months old, fully vaccinated, and neutered.

Gunther

With us since: June 2024

Gunther came to us with small wounds all over his body. We are unsure of how this happened, but he was possibly attacked by something. Everything healed up very well and he is doing great! He was also underweight, but has gained weight and is very healthy now. Gunther is more on the quiet side and laid back, but has recently showed more of a playful side! He does okay with the other animals but mostly keeps to himself. He loves to be pet and get attention from the staff and is usually on the desk to get pets. Gunther is approx. 5 years old, fully vaccinated and neutered.

Bonnie

With us since: June 2024

Bonnie came to us with a severe upper respiratory infection. This required over a month of strong antibiotics, but she has now recovered and is doing great. Bonnie is very spunky and playful. She loves to play with the other kittens. She also loves to nap in the kitty hammocks and relax. Bonnie is approx. 8 months old, fully vaccinated and spayed.

Autumn

With us since: September 2024

Autumn came to us with an upper respiratory infection. She was treated and everything cleared up well and she is healthy now. Autumn is a little shy but very sweet once she opens up to people. She has no trouble getting along with the other kittens, and is usually wrestling with one of them. She also loves the laser toy at the office. Autumn is approx. 7 months old, fully vaccinated and spayed.

Drywall

With us since: October 2024

Drywall came to us when he was apparently “found in a bag on the road” with Tuna (below). Luckily he was unharmed and warmed up to us very quickly. He loves to hang out in the cubbies in the cat trees, but he is also affectionate and likes to be pet. He does well with the other cats. Drywall is approx. 4 years old, fully vaccinated and neutered.

Tuna

With us since: October 2024

Tuna came to us when he was apparently “found in a bag on the road” with Drywall (above). Luckily, she was unharmed but she was traumatized from whatever happened to her. It took a little time, but she warmed up to us and is very sweet. She is laid back and keeps to herself, usually in a cozy spot. Tuna LOVES to be brushed! She loves to get attention and pets. Tuna also had a dental cleaning recently and is missing a few teeth, but it does not affect her health. She does well with the other cats. Tuna is approx. 8 years old, fully vaccinated and spayed.

Willow

With us since: October 2024

Willow came to us when she was found with a severe upper respiratory infection and ear infection. The ear infection was caused by a polyp, which was removed in surgery. She was then treated with antibiotics and everything cleared up very well! She is now healthy and doing very well. Willow can be a little shy with humans at first, but warms up slowly. She will need someone to be patient with her. She loves to play, especially with her cat friends at the office. Willow is often in the windows Willow is approx. 6 months old, fully vaccinated, and spayed.
